Company Policy

1. Purpose


This policy aims to establish guidelines and standards for the operation of Riders Economy Development Corp. (RED) as a ride-hailing and delivery service provider in compliance with Philippine laws and regulations, ensuring safety, reliability, and legal adherence in all business activities.

 

2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, drivers, delivery partners, contractors, and affiliates engaged in ride-hailing and delivery services through
Riders Economy Development Corp. (RED).

 

3. Legal Compliance
Riders Economy Development Corp. (RED) shall comply with all relevant Philippine laws, including but not limited to:

·      Republic Act No. 10913 (Anti-Age Discrimination in Employment Act)

·      Republic Act No. 10963 (Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law - TRAIN Law)

·      Republic Act No. 11235 (The Philippine Identification System Act)

·      Republic Act No. 11032 (Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act)

·      Republic Act No. 10916 (Public Service Act)

·      Republic Act No. 10930 (Motor Vehicle User’s Charge Law)

·      Republic Act No. 9485 (Anti-Red Tape Act)

·      Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act)

·      Department of Transportation (DOTr) regulations on ride-sharing and transport network companies

 

4. Driver and Delivery Partner Requirements

·      All drivers and delivery partners must hold valid Professional Driver’s Licenses issued by the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

·      Vehicles used must be registered, insured, and comply with LTO safety standards.

·      Drivers and delivery partners must undergo background checks, drug testing, and vehicle inspections as mandated by law.

·      Compliance with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) requirements for Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) accreditation is mandatory.

·      All drivers and delivery partners must adhere to the Anti-Discrimination and Safe Spaces laws, promoting respect and dignity for all customers and colleagues.

 

 

5. Fare Matrix Policy

·      Fare rates will comply with LTFRB-approved fare structures.

·      Surge pricing or dynamic pricing models, if used, will be transparent to customers.

·      Receipts or fare breakdowns will be provided to passengers through the app.

 

6. Employment and Contractor Relation

·      The company recognizes ride-hailing and delivery drivers partner as independent contractors unless otherwise required by law.

·      Contracts with drivers will clearly outline their rights, responsibilities, remuneration, and termination procedures.

·      The company will comply with all applicable labor laws regarding fair treatment, non-discrimination, and occupational health and safety.

 

7. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment

·      The company maintains a zero-tolerance policy against any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse toward passengers, drivers, or employees.

·      Any reported incidents will be investigated and addressed promptly.

 

8. Anti-Corruption and Ethical Conduct

·      The company maintains a zero-tolerance policy against bribery, corruption, and unethical behavior.

·      All employees, drivers and delivery partners must conduct themselves professionally and report any unlawful or unethical activities.

 

9. Customer Safety and Security

·      The company shall implement safety features such as emergency buttons, ride tracking, and customer feedback mechanisms.

·      Drivers and delivery partners must adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.

·      The company will provide insurance coverage for passengers and packages as required under Philippine law.

·      Complaints and incidents involving harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior will be promptly investigated and addressed.

 

10. Data Privacy and Confidentiality

·      The company shall comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) to protect the personal data of customers, drivers, and employees.

·      Personal information collected will be used solely for business and legal purposes and will be stored securely.

·      Data sharing with third parties will only be done with explicit consent or as required by law.

 

 

11. Payment and Taxation

·      All transactions will be processed transparently with clear fare and delivery fee structures.

·      The company and its drivers/delivery partners will comply with tax regulations under the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), including the issuance of official receipts and remittance of taxes.

·      The company will provide necessary documentation for income declaration and tax filing.

 

12. Environmental Responsibility

The company encourages the use of environmentally friendly vehicles and practices to contribute to sustainable development.

 

13. Policy Enforcement

·      Violations of this policy may result in suspension or termination of driver agreements or employment contracts.

·      The company reserves the right to update this policy in accordance with changes in applicable laws and regulations.

 

14. Acknowledgement

All drivers, employees, and contractors must acknowledge receipt and understanding of this policy.

15. Amendments

This policy may be updated as necessary to remain compliant with changes in Philippine laws and industry standards. All stakeholders will be informed of significant changes promptly.
